IPL 2009 - SECURITY BUDGET INCREASED BY TEN TIMES

Indian Premier League 2009 is the second IPL match conducted in India. On Tuesday, IPL commissioner Lalit Modi addressed the media that the T20 cricket extravaganza will be started on April 10 and unveiled the new logo for IPL in Mumbai. He said, the first and last match will be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai and the final ceremony which would last for 30 minutes will be the greatest visual extravaganza for the first time in India. After reveiling the great hit on first IPL cricket tournament, he reported to the press in Mumbai that 2nd IPL will have two new venues(Ahmedabad and Vishakapatnam). He added that they are also looking on the roster for Nagpur and Dharamshala.

Modi stated that IPL 2009 schedule is fine and regarding security to IPL players will be the main concern of the IPL management. Budget on IPL is increased 10 times than the previous tournament conducted last year for serving complete safety to all IPL players of 2009. He reported to the media that security will be provided centrally at the top class and will be tightened better than last year. He said, 'complete security will be provided to the foreign players from the time the players lands in India and to the moment he goes out of the country and Indian players will be provided security till the moment he enters the hotel to the moment he leaves the place'.
